I have vista, HP laptop and Norton NIS 2010 and a full scan found nothing. My Facebook games run the cpu at 60-90 percent and they said I have malware maybe. I downloaded the free malwarebytes and did a full scan. It found adware.sottomate as an infected file. Should I delete this file as they suggest? It is a registry key in Hkey_local_Machine\Software\<Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Lowrights\Elevation policy\(Ao78f691-9c07-4af2-bf43-35e79eecf8b7)
I do not understand any of this so any help would be appreciated. Is there anything else I should do? Why does the NIS not find this supposed infected file?
