Last week I had an update for the Norton app on my Iphone and ever since the identity monitoring requires setup. I have tried everything and now if I click on it, it just goes to the dark web monitoring app but that is not the same. Can anybody help me, what can I do?
An unfortunate backslide here. I got the latest beta version and it has gone back to showing Setup Required. I have reported it and hopefully that version will not make it to production until they fix it again.
I am on the beta channel for 360 Android app and the latest version I just installed seems to have fixed this issue. Keep looking for updates and see if they fix this for you. The version I have now is 5.68.2.230829010
Great, I will be so happy if this is solved! This is the first time with any Norton product that it doesn't improve on it's own, meaning usually they'll fix it themselves. Super this community
I just got confirmation that my contact was able to duplicate the repeated Setup Required. They now know what to look for. I'll let you know what I hear.
Thank you and if we can't solve it I guess it's not the end of the world To me it looks like Norton connected that part of the app to the separate Nortonidentity app because when I click on setup required that app opens (something which never happened before the update)
I am very grateful for the Norton community because it really helps if you can discuss it with others who know the product.
After a couple of 360 updates, I now see the same Setup required all the time as you do.
Not sure what it wants us to setup, but I'll try to find out.
I'm sorry I hadn't seen your reply, yes indeed!
And just to confirm. After shutting down the 360 app and then re opening, you still see Setup, and not Sign In as I see.
Hello, thank you so much for looking into this. I have the norton360 app version 2.66.1 and ever since the update under identity I see setup required however when I click on that the lifelock identity app opens (this is a separate app and never before used to interact with the 360app) if I then return to the 360 app I see the same message.
Are you still seeing Setup Required, or are you seeing Sign In?
I have a Norton contact that is looking into this.
By the latest version, is it 2.66.1, or are you saying no update available in the App Store? It may take a little while for this version to get released.
Are you always seeing Setup Required, or are you seeing Sign In like I described my observations from my phone?
Thank you but it's no good I have the latest version. I have tried absolutely everything and feel frustrated, I am going to leave it as it is.
Grateful for your response though ;)
I had a Norton contact inform me that the latest version of 360 iOS should fix an issue with the Identity section always showing Setup Required. Check your version number and see that it is at least ver 2.66.1 If you do not have that version, keep checking the Apple App Store for an update.
I did reinstall my 360 and saw the Setup Required. After I tapped through that it went back to displaying Sign In. I'll check to see if this is the expected behaviour.
Yes I also have a lifelock identity account but that is for protecting personal info from the darkweb. The section in the 360 app is different, however now it doesn't work any more and I have contacted customer support but they just do not respond. So you have the same problem. I think they might have discontinued this service in the 360 app, turning off the phone doesn't help either. Guess we'll have to do without ;)
What I am seeing on my iPhone for the Identity section is being asked to Sign In. Tapping that brings up a screen showing the Lifelock Identity App with a notation that I have no alerts. Tapping that brings up the Lifelock Identity app which I had installed previously. Even after signing into the Lifelock app, the next time I open 360 I still see the Sign in message. BTW I do not have a Lifelock Identity account. I installed the app for testing purposes.
Do you have the Lifelock Identity account, or the app installed on your device?
