I have and 1.2gig pentium III on 133MHz mother board.  Have been running Norton Antivirus 2005 for 3 years.  All of a sudden ALEUpdate.exe takes up 1/2gig of memory and 100% of CPU and criples computer for 15 to 20 minutes at a time.  Maybe its always used all those resources, but if so it was never a problem in the past, but it sure is now ---  had to uninstall Norton.  Can the run priority of this exec be set to "low"??  If so how?

I'm not sure how, but why not upgrade tro the latest 2008 version?

Here are some suggestions:

- Try to install the latest LiveUpdate version: How to download and install LiveUpdate

- If this is not a solution for your problem, uninstall and reinstall NAV 2005

- If you still have this issue, try to disable Automatic LiveUpdate.

You can also try NAV 2008 15 days for free: Trialware

You shoud notice that it's faster and more stable than previous versions.
