The cassette icon shows that your phone is recording the calls. Here is some information on how to turn that feature off.
How to Manage/Remove the Cassette Icon
Turn off Call Recording: Open the Phone app > Tap the three dots (Menu) > Settings > Record calls > Toggle “Auto record calls” to off.
Clear Cache: If the icon persists, navigate to Settings > Apps > Phone > Storage > Clear cache.
Good Lock Widget: If it is a widget on your home screen, it is likely the Good Lock “Tape Cassette” widget for quick access to app modules, which can be removed by long-pressing and selecting “Remove”.
Important Notes
Legality: The icon indicates a, sometimes legally sensitive, recording function, particularly in regions with strict privacy laws.
Voicemail: In some cases, it may indicate a new voicemail, though the recorder icon is more common.
As for the N you are seeing. Is it similar to the highlighted icon in the image below, but showing an N instead of the check mark?
