Amazon sign in with a passkey

Issue abstract: I was asked to add a passkey to sign in to Amazon instead of a password. I would like to cancel that, and go back to instead using a password.

In Windows:

Settings
Accounts
Passkeys

Use drop down menu on right to select the passkey and delete

You can also delete the passkey on Amazon’s website.

To do this,

  1. Login to your Amazon account on a web browser
  2. Hover over your name and click on Your Account in the dropdown menu.
  3. Click on Login and Security
  4. Follow any instructions to verify yourself if they come up (e.g. enter password, enter verification code).
  5. Go down to Passkey and click on the Edit button on the right
  6. Find the passkey you want to delete and click on the bin icon.
  7. Follow any instructions (e.g. verification, confirm delete, etc.).
