I’m waiting for a support agent on something else and thought I’d save time by asking the community one last time. On my Android Norton Password Manager in settings it reads: Lock NPM after 30 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours etcetera. Whether I choose after 4 hours after using it just once minutes later it’s locked and I have to unlock it again with my PIN. If I choose Never as in never allow it to lock the same thing happens and after I use NPM to sign in to a site or app with my username and password a minute later when I try to sign in to another site or app I have to bring forward the NPM and re-enter my PIN and then use it again. I’ve been trying to get an answer about this for over two years. Am I not understanding what it means to lock after 4 hours or Never Lock or is it screwing up?

Try changing the timeout value to something different than what you want. Then close the NPM app and restart the device. Then change it back to what you want and test .
If that does not work, uninstall the NPM app, restart your device and then reinstall the app and set your timeout to what you want, and test.
I did a little more testing. Are you by chance closing the NPM app between trying to access it during the Timeout time period? If so, that will reset and lock the vault and you have to log in again. As long as I left the app running in the background, it stayed unlocked for me, even if I let put the phone in standby.
Yeah, so anyway I did everything you suggested to do and I thought it might work. I noticed it stayed open, unlocked for about 15 minutes or so for my next login on the mobile device, however, a couple of hours later I had to punch in my code again. I do keep the NPM app open, I guess you’d call it in the background? It’s still there when I tap on the square that shows if Gmail or whatever app you were just using, and had to leave them open to return to it by tapping on it to make it full size again. That’s what I do with NPM. I leave it there thinking it’ll be a bit faster to get to if I need it soon again.

I might have seen something in your posts. The vault does not stay open for the timeout time from when you last used the app. It is from when you first unlock the vault.
Yes when I first tap on the NPM icon on my phone screen and it comes up and I punch in a four digit PIN number to unlock the app’s vault instead of having to type in my vault password. I then use it to fill in an app or websites user name and password. In the app settings it states something like lock after 1 minute, 10 minutes, 1 hour, 4 hours and the last choice "Never lock the vault, app whatever and I choose that. Never lock setting but it doesn’t work. I thought you knew that already.
Well it does sound like there may be something amiss with your NPM installation. I would suggest uninstalling the NPM app, restart your phone, then reinstall the NPM app. Then change your settings for the timeout and test.
