Issue abstract:
“Connected to new network” scan happens every start-up
Detailed description:
5 of my computers at home are running Norton 360 Premium and connected to a private home network. All 5 machines do the “connected to new network” scan in every startup on the same network every time. How do I disable the scan?

Product & version number:
Norton 360 Premium 25.7.10308 (build 25.7.10308.944)
OS details:
Windows 10 & 11

What is the error message you are seeing?
No error message but see the attached screenshot

If you have any supporting screenshots, please add them:

Lots of people have problems re. Norton reporting incorrect connect etc. there are settings in Advanced Security - Smart Firewall as attached.

I Have it set on Windows Settings Mode so it gets the ‘New Network’ correct to Privale but contrary to description you DO get the pop-up - does not seem any way to actually disable

You are right. Changing it to Window Settings Mode did not help

Why not switch to Smart Mode?

That will probably report the incorrect PRIVATE/PUBLIC network - NOT as Windows actual settings which are FACT

Thanks. Switching to Smart Mode nails it!

I have this same issue, but it also keeps telling me that the wifi network is compromised (but it’s not). This all started very recently just the past week I believe with a new Norton update. If I leave mine on smart mode without notifications it will then just totally block my internet connection.
