my new laptop had Norton 360 for gamers, and it ended after two months, which I expected. However i wanted to download Norton360 to continue using it, but as Deluxe version. When I downloaded the installer from the official website and launched it, it gave me message "another download manager is currently running", and I don't have any other installers running. In order to solve that issue I uninstalled "Norton 360 for gamers" using the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool. And the new installer still gives me the same message. I'm pretty sure that there are no installations and/or similar processes running in the background (I googled this, and it seems to be a pretty common issue).
OS is Windows 11 Home.
Does anyone experienced it, and what solutions can there be? Thank you in advance.
You could use this link to input your product key after sign-in into your My Norton after that you could use above given link to download your Norton 360.
When you ran the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool, did you use the advanced Remove only option?
Have you restarted your computer after the uninstall? Be sure you are using the Restart command. Not Shutdown and startup again if you have Windows Fast Startup feature enabled. If you use Windows 8/8.1, 10 or 11, there can be an issue with the Windows Fast Startup feature.. See more information here.
Try entering the new product key for your Deluxe version here. www.norton.com/setup . That will initiate the download of the new product and will uninstall any older version and install the new.
