Anti-Bug Protection

Hi,

my Android mobile was turned off, still - the speaker was activated!

So, does Norton 360 offer some form of mobile-phone protection, from being used as a bugging device, when turned off?

Please let us know how you get on.

Ok, thanks

Then it sounds like a factory reset would be in order.

A voice is heard and, the issue seems to disappear when sequestering the phone (Faradays Cage). Looks more like a hacked OS.

What kind of sounds are you hearing from your device when it is turned off?

Have you checked in Android Settings > Apps to see if there are any apps you do not recognise?

You might need to try a factory reset to clear whatever is happening.

The phone was turned off (next step would be a dismantling and desoldering the battery). Not rooted. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, Android 14 and One-UI 6.

Not specifically as you describe. But Norton should stop any app that could provide that 'feature' from being installed.

And to confirm, the device has been turned off, not just sleeping between sessions?

What device and Android version are you using?

Has your device been rooted? If so, all bets are off as far as your security is concerned.
