I received the following message earlier today on my laptop.
“Norton Anti-Theft is managed through your Norton Account. Sign in to register your device and begin tracking it.”
Why am I getting this message? I already set up tracking months ago. I tested it at that time by deactivating the laptop and checking the snapshots.
I signed in to my account at: https://antitheft.norton.com/find
The laptop shows up under MyDevices.
Is it being tracked or not? If so - why am I being told to register it?

Hi There,
Thank you for reporting the issue. Norton will look into the issue and resolve it at the earliest possible. For us to understand the issue and resolve it , it will be helpful if you can provide us the following details.
1) Exact flow, where and when are you seeing the message mentioned in your post.
2) Norton account used to sign in, the email id.
Thank you
Hi gcoxusa.
I am delighted that you have now got Norton staff here to assist you. I am sure they will do their best to sort this out as soon as possible but I should just leave you with one small pointer - do NOT post your email address in the forum. It is not a sensible idea to post your email address in a public forum and I am fairly sure it is against the policy of the forum.
However it is simple to send rj_dish your email directly by sending a message via the forum personal messaging system. You can be sure that rj_dish is a Norton employee as only they can have their names in bold red type! To send a personal message click on the name (rj_dish) in his post and you will see details about the person. On the right will be a "Contact" box and a line that says "Send this user a private message", if you click on that a message window will appear for you to send your account email address and anything else you want to send.
Good luck and don't forget to let us know how you got on. ;-)
