AntiSpam Blocked List not working

I entered a list of domains in the antispam blocked list, but when I get new emails in Outlook I expect emails with matching blocked domain to go to JUNK folder, but the don't, instead they are sitting in INBOX, so I have to manually JUNK them one by one, it's tedious work. When I enter the domain under Blocked List, I select adress type = domain, then I enter the <domain name with dot com> next to address. I usually enter the same for the name.

Thanks, good point, I didn't know that fact. I'm using IMAP thru Xfinity internet provider. POP3 is kinda outdated and slow. Most internet providers recommend using IMAP.

Norton AntiSpam should provide support for both POP3 and IMAP, IMAP has been out for quite some time now. I know the technology is different, the emails stay on the server but the add-in for Outlook should be able to filter spams.

Totally agree. It is technologically feasible to support IMAP. Many antivirus vendors such as ESET and Kaspersky support IMAP protocol.

There are a lot of discussions about this issue:

There should update to use imap e-mail client on antispam | Norton Community

Norton Anti Spam useless? | Norton Community

However, I don't think the above discussions make sense.

Anyway, I have disabled Antispam function, but LiveUpdate still updates the antispam definition every day.

Norton AntiSpam only supports POP3 (without SSL) and SMTP protocol.

If you are using IMAP and Exchange accounts such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, and so on, Norton AntiSpam won't monitor these incoming and outgoing emails.

Are you sure about the "real" domain name? Look at the header of the email and not just the from field because it is easy for spammers to send from what looks like an email address when their real address is hidden in the header.

I'm using the deskop version of Outlook. Norton AntiSpam Outlook Plugin shows up in the list of active application add-ins.

Are you using the web version of outlook or do you have a desktop version under Windows? You can only configure the spam control if you have a desktop version.

Is it possible to submit a bug report?

Shane.
