Hi Everyone,
Question: I have a client that we recently updated from NIS 09 to NIS 10. After the update, her Antispam starting going wacky. She is running XP Pro with Outlook Express. After installing the 2010 version, her Spam started going into one of her personal folders named "Archive". The Norton antispam rule had changed itself. I followed a few people instructions on turning off Antispam, removing the "Archive" folder and deleting it from deleted items and turning on Antispam again. To no avail the problem then came back only going into a different one of the users folders and not the Antispam folder. I uninstalled Norton on the machine and reinstalled it, program worked fine and then a few days later, back to the spam not going into NAS folder. I went back to my clients and followed another post about creating a rule directing the Norton Antispam to the NAS folder. Well, that worked for a little bit, but then the emails were coming in and not being flagged with the [Norton Antispam]. So they were not going anywhere, just the Inbox. I went there last week and completely uninstalled NIS, ran the Norton removal tool, removed all folders related to Norton and removed all registry setting related to Norton. Then I downloaded and installed the NIS 2011 version, all looked good when it installed, I tested an all the spam was going into the correct NAS folder. My client emailed me this morning and let me know that the problem has arose again, all her spam email is now going into a folder called "John" and it is not flagged with the [Norton Antispam] symbol either.
Any help is greatly appreciated. I would like to get this issue solved ASAP. Im thinking about putting her back to the 09 version, but would like her to have the benefits of the newest versions.
Thanks again
Jazz
