I have recently upgraded my PC and also looked at other mail clients. Finally came back to Outlook 2007 all ok except the Antspam plugin is not available in outlook. NIS client integration options for outlook are greyed out and unselectable. No sign of the plugin in in Outlook add-ins.
Using 32 bit windows 8 (not 64 bit so thats not the problem) and NIS2012. Have reinstalled Norton NIS twice, once using the Norton removal tool. No change.
The only point which I suspect is that outlook is not installed in the default location on the C drive, it is on the normal path but on the E drive. This should not be a problem as it acts perfectly as my default mail client.
Tried contacting Norton support but fed up of sitting on the phone and staring at the screen for web chat response. Anyone else seen this problem.
