AntiVirus Autoprotect is being deactivated frequently following upgrade to NIS 2012

Hi, I have upgraded NIS to version 19.2.0.10  a couple of days ago and ever since my AntiVirus Autoprotect is being deactivated frequently, so far i've received the following error messages: Error 3047,40000 and Error 8506,422 . Neither could be fixed by the autofix. A full system scan did not show any threat; I also tried Norton Power Eraser without success, but each time I reboot my pc the antivirus is reactivated. Can somebody tell me what's it all about and how to fix it permanently?

Welcome,

Here's some possible help for the first error listed:  https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?lg=english&ct=united+states&product=home&version=1&pvid=f-home&layout=retail&actstat=activated&substatus=current&ncoap=1&ncoap=1&docid=v64391559_enduserprofile_en_us&partner=&ispid=&sitename=&ncoap=1

This the recommended solution to error two:  https://www-secure.symantec.com/norton-support/jsp/help-solutions.jsp?ncoap=1&lg=english&ct=united+states&product=home&version=1&pvid=f-home&layout=retail&actstat=activated&substatus=current&ncoap=1&ncoap=1&ncoap=1&partner=&ispid=&sitename=&ncoap=1&docid=kb20091014011329en_enduserprofile_en_us&partner=&ispid=&sitename=&ncoap=1

Be sure to read through both of them before doing anything and be sure to save your identity safe data before that.:smileywink:

Hi Dick:

I just purchased a new computer and have been having the same problem with the same error message.  All of my Norton products came preinstalled.  Can you tell me how to obtain and/or download the installation files?  My trial isn't up yet and I do plan to purchase the software once it is up but I need to fix this problem now.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Debbie
