Hi,

Isn't Robin a beta version timelimited?

Yes - Robin is a beta. Norton Add-On Pack 2.1 has been shipped - and can downloaded in localised versions free of charge (internet charges still applies)

http://www.symantec.com/norton/products/overview.jsp?pcid=is&pvid=naop1 for US-English

http://www.symantec.com/no/no/norton/products/overview.jsp?pcid=is&pvid=naop2 for Norwegian

:smileyhappy:

Yes, I know,

but the betaprograms are timelimited, or?  I really don't know if they will stop working after a time period...And what's about updates? Are they fully usable?

I wouldn't take a beta version to protect my productiv computer.

As with all BETA software that you test with Symantec, we recommend that you restore your system to the "Clean State" that you created before testing began. Installing the released version on a system that previously had the beta software installing will cause problems. Did you restore your system to a "pre-Beta" state before you installed the released version?

Thank you, and everyone, for your replys.  As the old German, hiding in the bushes said, "very interesting".

Yes, I "clean slated" everything.  Reformated the drive and uses Ghost 14 to get back to square one.  I believe everything is working as it is supposed to. Response time, on this computer, is quite good, 10X that of my lap top.

Because of the advise I have recieved through this forum, I will forget Robin.  Will 360 2.1 include more robust add on's?  If so, where is this version (web site?)?

Or, should I just wait for Robin to go to release?

There is no 2.1 at the moment

I apologize for the misunderstanding. From your original post, I now see that you have the released version of Norton Add-On Pack for Norton 360 2.0 installed. Please verify that this is correct.

I would not recommend installing Beta software as a way to resolve an issue found in a released version of Norton Add-On Pack.

From your original post:

There is an apparent spam filter conflict between 360 add on's and the
built-in spam blocker in Outlook 2007.  Apparently, the Norton filter
keeps getting shut down by the Outlook version.
Please elaborate on what you mean by the Norton filter keeps getting shut down. What exactly happens? Any additional information is appreciated.

I guess you are right.
My mistake ;)

Sounds like you migh be experiencing a framework crash.  Do you receive "Symantec Service Framework has encountered a problem and must close"?  Are you on XP or Vista?

Now up to version 2.2.0.2
