After I click the Apply Patch Now button, I am accustomed to a window opening that displays the installation process. This appears only on my Windows 10 machines. On Windows 11, nothing appears, and cannot tell if the patch was correctly installed or not. In effect, clicking the button produces no result. In the past, I have reinstalled Norton 360, but it did not help.
I have to assume this is a Windows 11 thing. At any rate, it is irritating and should not happen. Is there something I can do?
Thanks for replying. Honestly, I don't remember. I do have version 22.23.4.6 installed. I guess I'll have to wait until the next patch before I can say for sure.
For me, too, the patch needed to be restarted twice before it was installed. In the past, only Explorer and any programs that were open closed. Why is it necessary to restart the whole computer at least once?
I have tried that too. I reboot and then re-run Live Update. Norton usually does not find any patches, allowing to me believe that the last patch was indeed installed. But as I stated before, no notification from Norton. I believe on one occasion, Norton actually re-detected a new patch, and I had to reboot again. At any rate, this is annoying and shouldn't be happening. Norton, please look into this.
