Hi adgarner11,
Thanks for the feedback. We will check into this. I assume you are on the latest Norton Family version 2.6.0.73.
Thanks,
Katie
Yes, it installed latest version, I checked java and uninstalled it again
As much trouble as its been i really want this to work, it’s the best parental controls program I’ve tried…so frustrating that they can’t or won’t fix it
adgarner11,
Just out of curiosity, did you test Java from a monitored or unmonitored account?
And did you have any version of Java on the computer other than 7 before you tested?
When I test it, I don't get an error message - instead, it hangs: Java 7 just won't run.
But I'm using the Admin account, which is not monitored. And I've had Java 6 update 43 before I removed it and put on 7 for testing. Maybe that explains the difference.
Im running whatever the current version of java is (7 v17 maybe?) from my admin not monitored account.
I watch the forums, when there is an update to NOF I remove the other parental controls I'm running, install NOF then head to java's test page. Didn't work, uninstalled NOF and put qustodio back on
I haven't bothered with java 6 since they stopped supporting it.
