Issue abstract: Lost ARestore.loc
Detailed description: The file “ARestore.loc”, which corresponds to the directory “N360_Backup”, has been lost. Is there any way to recover this file?
Product & version number: Norton 360; the corresponding file “ARestore.exe” has the date “28.12.2017”
OS details: Win 11
Thanks
Thanks for the tip. The files in the backup are now displayed. When I try to restore a file, I get the error: “Failed to restore,” and after canceling, the file says “Invalid file.” Could it be because the downloaded zip file contains the English-language files? - Thanks.
Have you attempted downloading the file directly to your computer then restore it there, NOT to the original location that is was backed up from? Just a thought.

Norton Utilities won’t restore a Norton 360 backup unfortunately.

Yes, I did; the default setting is “C:\RestoredFiles”
Put a copy of the ARestore.exe an loc in the C:\RestoredFile directory, try to restore that way.

Unfortunately, that doesn’t work. ARestore and the N360_Backup directory must be in the root directory of the drive. Thanks for all the suggestions; I guess I’ll have to accept that the one source code file I’m looking for is lost. ;-(
