Also got this message at startup : "program blocked at startup - microsoft system configuration utility"

Please advise.

Thanks in advance.

Do you see this message everytime you start your computer ?

 Hi,

Yes, get this message everytime (since yesterday).

I checked the following

SupportSoft sprtcmd present in system configuration -- startup

Registry location for this has the following entries:

---------------------------------------------------------------

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccApp.exe"
"C:\Program Files\Dell Support Center\bin\sprtcmd.exe" /P DellSupportCenter
C:\Program Files\Synaptics\SynTP\SynTPEnh.exe
%ProgramFiles%\Windows Defender\MSASCui.exe -hide

MSConfig ---   Getting an error when I doublick on the entry "Error reading the value's contents"

---------------------------------------------------------------

Regarding the trojan alert,  did not see it today. Not sure it is waiting for a suitable time, or there is someone trying to hack.

How do we check this, Norton AV says everthing is fine. Online Kaspersky did not find anything.

Thanks.

Hi smart000,

It is most likely that Norton's auto-protect blocked the download of a (drive-by) Trojan on your computer. To dig deeper into this issue, from the Norton product's console click on 'History' or 'View History' depending upon the version of your product. In the history locate the event which states - "Trojan Horse detected by Auto-Protect"

Once found, select the event and click on 'More Details', and then click on 'View' under Risk Details. Under the 'Details' tab you'll see the file which was blocked by Norton. What file is it? Note that location of the file into this forum.

Thanks

hey,

I've been having an anoying problem the last couple of " weeks " =[ Auto-protect keep poping up sayints "Auto-protect has blocked trojan horse. your system is now secure". this pop-up has been occuring every 5 minutes to the SECOND !... it will always create a new file in the / C:\WINDOWS\TEMP\

i think it has to do something with the svchost.exe proccess. heres the log for the recent history to help.  [ attachments ]

i've tried malwarebytes, it doesnt detect anything

and there nothing dangerous in autorun.inf

nothing note worthy runs on startup and services :S

could this be norton detecting my internet as a trojan or something ?

seems when i connect to the interent, 5 mins late it says the trojan pop-up. :S

Hope this helps to solve my problem =@....
