No, I have never upgraded beyond 2007.

you can download the trial - which will pick up your existing subscription for 2007 during install - from here:

i'd upgrade and see if that doesn't resolve the problem.

Hi -
I have been having daily issues with the auto-protect. It shows error, the "fix now" does not work either. And every time I reboot I have to go download the fix, sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. I also have to download both fixes because you never know which onis going to work. This has become extremely aggravating!!!! It usual take about 6 times of going through the process to fix it. There has got to be something that is a permanent fix.
Thank you,
D
hi D - i'd like to confirm what's going on and get a few more details. please confirm the following:
- you are running norton internet security 2008 (can confirm the exact version through Help & Support and then About from the One Click Support menu and then the Internet Security tab)
- you intermittantly receive notifications that auto-protect is off and when you click "FIX NOW", nothing appears to happen
- when you reboot, you are notified in some way (details here would be great) to download a fix and sometimes a secondary fix (title of documents or something would be great to know as well), which sometimes works and sometimes does not
final question - is anything else in the main protection center window ever show at risk? your subscription of definitions being out of date?
thanks,
mel
