Auto renewal charge for a none existent account

Got a fraud alert from my bank showing Norton charging me for a service I never signed up for. I also did not even have an account with them. AVG did the same thing same day even though I also did not sign up for any autorenewal subscriptions. Both were “Auto-renewal.” I’ve hopefully dealt with AVG since I had an account with them somehow, but this keeps happening every year with one virus protection or another. MAlwarebytes did the same thing to me two years in a row even though I disputed both charges as fraudulent AND got a new credit card each time. Y’all are a bunch of scamming scammers, stealing my credit card info over and over and signing me up without my consent. I want this to end permanently! It’s been going on about 4 years now!

Hello @noaccountstillbilled

Sounds like LEGIT fraud is the issue here. Are your fraud alerts via a text message to mobile? Those are the usual ways scammers get your money, having you scared then call the number or clicks on links in the messages. In any event, if you are in the US contact the local office for consumer protection agency and file a report. This is usually with the state attorney general office. The federal trade commission can also help.

In the past as in 10 years ago I had a norton account and used it for a time but have since unsubscribed and shut it all down. If the account still exists it’s with an email that no longer exists.

Okay…and you still want to reach Norton support?
