Autofix fixed installation and uninstall reinstall

Hi folks!

Cable guy just left . fixed some issues with a bad connection.

Two days ago I did a system restore just to one or two days back I don't remember which but not more than that.

everytime I run autofix now it finds a problem with the installation and has to fix it.

I have an ocd thing and when I boot up I run autofix just to make sure all is well.

well after the restore I seem to be getting problems logging into my local vault. (I KNOW I'm giving it the right password and after two or three attempts I finally get in but it's a pain)

also...since the restore I noticed a few things. some administrative settings in my n360 have been changed. I didn't change them. I seem to have firewall rules issue like some rules are set to 'shared' .. and they're greyed out so I can't access them....I don't belong to a shared network!. When I try to click the default button to set traffic rules to default, the button is greyed out. so I can't even reset them to default!

there was remote management of my norton 360 turned on. should it be on or off? I don't have any remote connections...just my isp connection.

I think I need to uninstall and reinstall. I have a norton account set up with 2 computers on it. Mine and my brother's in the next town over.

do I delete MY device from the subscription before I do an uninstall and reinstall?

When I reinstall will it auto upgrade to 2014? I have 2013 21.1.0.10 on Windows 7 sp1 64 bt

I have my passwords written down for my local vault so I don't need to back those up.

to do uninstall reinstall...

do I ...

remove my computer from my subscription in manage my account

download uninstall reinstall tool

use control panel uninstall

reboot

use uninstall reinstall

reboot

update

do I have all that right?

or could you give me very specific directions please?

I'm no techie...just a very flaky operator lol

please help me with this one, too!  you've all been very patient with me in the past. I really need help with this one.

Thanks in advance!
