It goes like this....
1)Removed NIS2010 using removal tool as i prefer a clean installation.
2)Downloaded just the installer NIS esd 18-1-0-37-EN and ran as admin-rebooted then updated thru liveupdate so no updates left to download-rebooted again.
3)Everything appears to work ok but when i tested autofix is prompted me to reboot to fix an unspecified issue.
So rebooted and Autofix is still suggesting a reboot no matter how many times i do that-so it never indicates that the product is functioning ok.
I'm running fully updated Vista 64 SP2.
