I got an email saying my automatic renewal had been cancelled. Apparently this was one of the casualties of my bank changing my debit card # against my wishes. anyway, how can I reinstate automatic renewal of my account?
Thanks

Hi,
You get the best price by shopping around to find a reliable dealer who sells what you want. You can buy a new box and just use the key to renew. Wait until a few days before your current subscription expires as the new key will not add the existing days to the new amount.

Hi jyanko
In addition to what dickevans has posted. If you find it cheaper somewhere else then make sure you cancel your auto renewal and get a confirmation email that is if you have auto renewal set up.

I believe I have seen that when you are within about 30 days of the expiry of your current subscription, the controls for Auto Renewal are not available. If this is the case, the only way to cancel would be to contact Norton Support and make the request. www.norton.com/contactcs If using the chat function, as soon as you can enter any information, enter "agent please". That will get you out of the chat bot and connected to a human.
Do you see Activate Subscription Renewal?
What do you see here:
Please check your Norton account to manage licenses / subscriptions.
https://my.norton.com/extspa/account/subscriptions
Please check your Norton account to confirm ... Automatic Renewal Off ... and no billing information.
MY SUBSCRIPTIONS reports: Activate Subscription Renewal ... with Automatic Renewal Off.
BILLING INFORMATION reports: There is no billing profile saved in your account ... with no billing information.
Please review: Stop your Norton subscription from automatically renewing

When you enroll the new subscription automatic renewal is required and set on for that new subscription.
You have probably received an email acknowledging that you have initiated auto renew even though you later have turned it off. These things can cross as they are probably different systems that are running and it can muddy the waters so to speak.
If you are sure that auto renew is set off you are all set.
Thanks all. I actually went to my account and turned off automatic renewal. I still have 30+ days left and will manually renew when I get down to the last 3-5 days.
Automatic renewal just extends your current subscription and subscription key for your current product. You have to do nothing. As the payment is processed, in a couple of days, you should see the number of days remaining showing in your product reflect the addition of 365 days.
At most, you would have to click on Help - Subscription Status to sync your computer with the Norton servers.
I've not seen Automatic Renewal first hand. I think renewal process including sync days will occur automatically.
When enrolled in the Automatic Renewal service you receive the following added benefit:
Convenient Uninterrupted Protection: Enjoy peace of mind knowing your Norton subscription will never lapse.
An additional benefit called the Norton Virus Protection Promise, which includes access to Norton experts who can work with you to diagnose and remove viruses should you run into any problems during your subscription.

No I wasnt concerned that it wasnt working. I have never let my auto renew so I didnt know what I had to do to get my subscription updated.
When I have renewedin the past I had to do something to get my subscription sync'd up so I would get my new days
I was partly thinking about just letting auto renew( I am not concerned with the price). But if I do let it automatically renew, what do I do next to get my subscription updated and activated? is it just the sync otion in the Norton User interface window? Or are there other things I need to do?
I've not read reports of Automatic Renewal not working.
