Hi mccloud1105:
Please contact Customer Service via chat. It is much faster than by phone. I'm not sure what the difficulty was with your request to support, unless the payment had not yet had time to be processed, and they were unable to trace it. Let them know what has happened, and hopefully this can be dealt with fairly quickly.
This is a user to user help forum. We are not able to help with subscription issues. Customer service will help you. Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for your reply. My licence is a UK licence, originally bought from the UK site/shop. I'm in the UK & I have this country as default on my pc. The invoice address on my Norton profile is in the UK. & when I look in my order history the invoices up to the automatic renewal one are all in GBP, it's just the automatic renewal which is in USD
I have switched off automatic renewal for now, but it does seem to be a good idea to have the subscription renewing automatically each year.
Hilary
Last year I used automatic renewal. The only problem that I havd was that I was invoiced in USD & I really need to be invoiced in GBP. Is there anyway that I can make this happen?
You are correct that auto is a good idea but just consider that NIS 2009 or NIS 2010 from say PC World or Currys for example may be cheaper than auto renewal and the key is valid for NIS 2011 and future release. Same applies for NAV products.
Also annual renewal would not be necessary if you purchased retail product which is valid for 3 pc and 2 years.
Please can you check the following
Goto internet explorer
goto tools
on the general tab
under Appearance click languages
what language or languages are shown and what is the order shown i.e. which is first if two are shown?
Alas, I cannot duplicate your circumstances at the moment because renewal does not function when one has a valid key that is not due to expire in the immediate future.
Hopefully, someone with specific experience will come along. However, as I recall although US$ comes up because it directs only to the US page, you can at the top right change the country code to UK and then the page is refreshed with the GBPP prices . Otherwise please try here

Hilary,
I think the best bet may be to contact Customer Support using OnLine Chat which users tell us is quick, efficient and painless!
To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.
You can choose CHAT or Email; email & phone may have a long wait time and feedback from users tells us that CHAT is by far the best at resolving problems.
Note that that link is to the USA/CAN website so find the equivalent location on your local Symantec website; some pages have a link at the top right where you can select the country you are located in.
Hello Hilary
Here is the customer support link for the UK which you may find more convenient.

Thanks.
Right I get this should be simple to turn off but its proving harder than it should!
I've attacked just about every button there is with the mouse and even a few keys.
I've looked at the support page but the screen shots posted do not match the layout that I have
1) on the screen shot it shows a check box
2) mine doesn't have a check box but what looks like a switch which refuses to budge to off!
help please.

Welcome,
Have you clicked on renew and followed the instructions? The 'automatic' part is letting you know before hand that the time is near. The process also adds your remaining days to the 366 of the new subscription.
Without the 'automatic' you might disable the 'nags' and wake up to a red screen telling you that your subscription had expired and to uninstall the product.
Keep us in the loop.

Hi nmonacelli,
Please be aware that there are some reports of phishing scam emails that appear to be from Norton, that proclaim that your automatic renewal has been canceled, and then invite you to purchase a renewal by clicking a bogus link. If you are in doubt as to the authenticity of the message you received please check with Norton Customer Support as suggested previously - do not respond directly to the email message.
Whether the email is genuine or not, I assume the bank issued a new debit card number to you due to a security breach, so you do need to be cautious about any solicitations you recieve. See the following thread for an example of this scam email:

Thank you so much for your quick respoonse. I was able to use the customer chat and your representative there took care of my problem quickly and easily. I am very satisfied with the service I received.
I got an email saying my automatic renewal had been cancelled. Apparently this was one of the casualties of my bank changing my debit card # against my wishes. anyway, how can I reinstate automatic renewal of my account?
Thanks

Why wait until next year? The product comes with a 60 day money back satisfaction guarantee. Get your money back and then go buy it over the counter for the price you're happy with.
Visit this page to begin the refund process.
