I want to automatically scan USB memory sticks when I insert them. Can anyone tell me how to set this up on my 360 Premier Edition? Thanks

This information is from 2010 product notes, so it may be outdated:

 

 

1. When you just plug-in the USB drive, Norton won't scan the USB drive immediately.

2. The Norton program scans USB drive on the following conditions:

- whenever a file/folder in USB is accessed through Windows Explorer by the user(Auto-Protect and Removable Media Scan).

- whenever Auto-run starts the access to files/folders in USB(Auto-Protect and Removable Media Scan).

- whenever a scan from Norton runs with USB drive plugged-in, it can be idle scan or manual full system scan.

I am not aware of changing any settings. My fear is that I will have unseen viruses on my Memory sticks and Norton will not find them automatically. I gave a colleague a memory stick last week and his Kaspersky (sp) found five virus immediately.
