NIS 2011 nightly run blocked the HIGH SECURITY RISK HERURISTIC.ADH which was fine. However every few minute I continue to get the NIS pop-up: Autoprotect blocked HIGH SECURITY RISK HERURISTIC.ADH YOUR COMPUTER IS SECURE. Why do I still get the pop-up?
It is a safer location to get the program from than malwarebytes themselves because some malware creators have large lists of sites that they block. Please be careful to down load the correct program ----the FREE version of MALWAREBYTES
(Thanks to Delph for providing the alternative site)
Please run the scan and let us know what it finds. Thanks.
Ok. Scanned with Malwarebytes and dumped the log. Rebooted and I have not seen the the NIS pop-up. It looks like this issue is solved. The log is attached. I would like to know what happened other than the obvious spyware. Thanks for your help.
Please check your program listing for the names of the spywares that were mentioned by malwarebytes just to make sure that the folders and every thing having to do with them is gone. Please also check your host file and see if those ip's that were in mentioned in the threatexpert report are listed in your host file. If they are listed there, then delete those.
Please keep an eye on your scans and if you see them again or other malware like that, please let us know. You have to watch to see if anything in your computer is requesting that those malwares are downloaded to you. There might be something still trying to call home. I would suggest that you run a quick scan with malwarebytes for a couple of nights and see if it finds anything again. Thanks.
