My credit card was charged for autorenewal about one month in advance of my current subscription expiring.
I do not recall receiving any advance notice of this charge and this seems too far in advance, especially without any notice. This didn't give me any option of considering the renewal price and services in advance of the charge.
Has anyone else encountered this? Is there any way to opt out of autorenewal or removing my credit card information without cancelling the subscription (which appears to be the case)?
We send a notification email before each upcoming annual renewal (usually about 50-65 days ahead), so that you are not caught off-guard. This notification email provides important information, such as the price for the next annual term, and the subscription renewal and billing dates. This helps you to adjust your protection plan according to your needs.
Once you subscribe, the payment method that you stored in your account will be charged to renew your subscription at the applicable monthly or annual renewal price unless you cancel the subscription renewal before the day on which you are due to be charged in your account or by contacting us. For annual subscriptions, we send you an email with the renewal price, the billing date, and related details before any charge occurs so that you know it is coming.
If you want to cancel your subscription and get a refund, visit our NortonLifeLock Cancellation and Refund Policy to learn more about your contract cancellation and refund rights and for exceptions.

Renewal: subscriptions automatically renew unless the renewal is cancelled before billing. Renewal payments are billed annually (up to 35 days before renewal) or monthly depending on your billing cycle. Annual subscribers will receive an email with the renewal price beforehand. Renewal prices may be higher than the initial price and are subject to change. You can cancel the renewal as described here in your account or by contacting us here or at 844-488-4540.

With an automatically renewing subscription, you have continuous access to your service without having to worry about expiration dates.
