$AV_NLL Folders on C & D drive

I have Used Norton for many years without issues, and recently set it up on a new laptop, but noticed I now have a $AV_NLL folder on both my C & D drives which I cannot remove. Googling the internet it looks like this refers to quarantined files (I have removed all quarantined files now). Is there any way to remove this folder, as my D drive is setup in a very specific way for my games and personal documents, I do not want this folder on it. …

Many Thanks

Hello @Redskins1791
fwiw ~ by my experience here…$AV_NLL folder is created with an initial quarantine event…and $AV_NLL folder remains…until you clean install Norton.

meaning you’ve cleared Security History → Quarantine?
meaning you’ve deleted quarantined files?

Was there a quarantine event on C & D?

Have you tried temporarily disable Norton - Product Tamper Protection and then try deleting $AV_NLL folder?

Please post progress

Edit: fwiw ~ as test:
temporarily disabled Norton - Product Tamper Protection and then deleted $AV_NLL folder.

Thanks, that worked for me although I only had that folder on my C: drive.

Turning off Norton Product Tamper Protection, allowed me to delete the folders.

Thank you so much for your help, this has saved me a lot of hassle, and I now have a solution if files get quarantined again.
