Backup Errors: Wish to start from scratch: How?

Recently while backing up to an external HD, Norton 360 Backup triggers an "Error" flag.  I've erased the file and related icons on the external HD and wish to trick Norton 360 into thinking I've never backed up previously and simply to a "clean" backup.  How?

My backup is not significant (My Documents & C Drive for the source); pictures, music, office documents, emails, contacts and internet favorites.  There's several gigs, but not really much.  A simple backup. Again, how?

Thanks.

Hi,

You might try deleting your current backup job and creating a new one. That should provide enough change for 360 to do a full backup rather than identify the previous one and just do an incremental.

Keep us posted

Dick - started anew as suggested, but without backing up emails and it works fine.  What's wrong with emails, I don't know.  Thanks for your input.

This ends my inquiry.  Thanks all.
