Today i backed up all my data with norton 360 3.0. this is the first time aftter installing 360 3.0 i have backed up my files. The problem is that when the backup is finished after a few mins i get this that "Your backup has not completed recently" I have deleted and backed up all my data several times but this seems to happen each time i do it
The fix now button doesn't seem to work. Can someone help with this issue. Any and all is appreciated!!

Now that you mention it I think I had the same experience yesterday when I ran a backup with N360 V3 under VISTA and when the backup finished it came up with that screen I think and then a progress.
Looking at my backup location under Norton 360 Backup there are two folders one with a complex alphanumeric name and the other just labeled C: which is the drive I told it to back up and just seems to contain a backup of the Users folders and subfolders.
I have a lot of drives and I do like that they have done this and allowed us to restrict the searching to one drive. This needs to be done for some of the other utilities like Registry Cleanup.
Champinder,
May i know which Backup set and backup location are you using and when did you install the Program ?
it was the default set and the location was my external actually i changed the settings after i upgraded to v3.0. This was the first time i was going to backup my computer with 3.0

FWIW That exactly echoes my scenario. Do you have
2 folders under your Norton 360 Backup Folder that it created on your external drive?
yes there were two with the same name.
Ooops -- forget what I've been saying about the files in the backup location! The one in a folder C: is a year old and might be a raw copy although I don't know why since it's uncompressed and readable in PowerDesk.
The one recently made is:
O:\N360_BACKUP\{3BBFE500-28AF-4B4A-B927-5651D49904DD}
and contains a lot of folders.
But what I said about a duplicate instance running was correct.
I don't have the problem with 360 telling me I have not done a backup recently but I do have multiple backup sets that are the same name. The first two I assumed were from the change over from V2 to V3 so I created a backup set of the same name so that I could delete and hoped it would delete all 3 backup sets of the same name. Just to note even though I deleted the backup set all three still display on the Norton Backup Drive while the same Backup Set does not show in the Backup Manager.
You are able to delete files that are contained within the same name backup sets files but are not able to remove any of the same name backup sets themselves, as far as I can tell.
Take care,

hywyngr,
The raw copy you see is most likely a v1 backup or one that you had previously backed up in v1. We wont change the format of the backup set once you have backed it up.
Mike
I realized that later when my eyes actually saw the date on the folder. Sorry about that.
Nevertheless I did get the double display within N360 V3 with a second you need to backup screen and then a backup with progress bar after the first one completed, as reported by others here.
Did you happen to catch a screen shot or are you able to reproduce the issue on a regular basis?
No I didn’t but I’ll go over into my VISTA installation where N360 is and try a new backup.
