Hallo zusammen

 

leider bin ich nur ein "dummer" Anwender und habe riesige Probleme mit dem Backup mit Norton 360.

 

Ich habe auf meinem PC 3 Festplatten und habe für alle drei einen eigenen Backupsatz angelegt.

Als Speicherort habe ich eine externe Festplatte angegeben und den Backup-Zeitplan mit "Automatisch" eingestellt.

Auf der externen Festplatte erscheinen nun aber unter N360_BACKUP nicht etwa meine eingestellten Backup-Namen wie z.B. "Daten von C" usw sondern ellenlange Nummern wie  {451E14FA-..........}. Ausserdem ist unter "geändert am" das/die Datum/Zeit aufgeführt an welchem ich das erste Mal den Backup durchgeführt habe.

Ich war bisher der Meinung, dass für jede Änderungen in den Daten automatisch ein Backup erstellt wird um eine Datei auf eine frühere Version zurückstellen zu können. Beim Neustart des PC's erscheint zwar ein Fenster und es wird nach irgendetwas gesucht, aber ich sehe nicht ob dies was mit dem Backup mzu tun hat. Auch sind danach keinerlei Datumsänderungen auf der ext. Festplatte feststellbar.

 

Wenn ich nun aber, da ich nicht sicher bin ob die letzten Datenänderungen wirklich abgespeichert wurden,

auf "Jetzt Sichern" klicke, kommt mir die Fehlermeldung, dass das externe Laufwerk nicht angschlossen sei, obwohl es das ist und es mir, wenn ich "Arbeitsplatz" öffne, auch angezeigt wird.

Am Platz kann es auch nicht liegen, da die ext. Festplatte über 465 GB verfügt und noch 371 GB frei sind.

 

Was mache ich falsch?

Hallo verehrte Forum Teilnehmer,

 

zur Zeit nutze ich Norton Security, früher hatte ich auch schon Norton 360 gekauft, war aber nicht zufrieden mit der Backup Funktion. Es war nicht möglich eine Sicherung über ext. USB-Laufwewrke durchzuführen. Hierzu habe ich mit dem Vertrieb von Symanttec diskutiert.Dieses Problem ist aber später behoben worden.

Nun möchte ich wieder auf Norton 360 umsatteln weil mir die Sicherungsfunktionen in WIN 8.1 nicht ausreichen.

Nun meine spezielle Frage: Kann die Backupfunktion in Norton 360 auch eine Systemsicherung wie früher bei WIN7 durchführen?. Hierzu finde ich keine Informationen.

Hat jemand hierzu Erfahrungen.

Wäre Euch dankbar für eine Info.

Are you sayin that you cannot access any, most, all, or only the backup settings? If you are experiencing problems with the product you might want to run the Norton Remove and Reinstall Tool

Be sure to save your identity safe data before you start

Also run live update until the program tells you that all updates have been downloaded and installed

I cannot access any of the backup settings. I cannot even see what target drive the system currently has stored.

 

I cannot use the remove tool, it says "Unable to uninstall Norton Safety Minder. Please uninstall Norton Safety Minder manually". I do not know where to find Norton Safety Minder.

I am able to use the Windows "Programs and Devices" uninstall function if I can find the program.

All the updates for Norton 360 have been done.

Are you using a Windows account with admin priviige?

 

Look in Windows control panel to try to remove Norton Safety Minder.

Windows Control Panel has only one level of folders and it only shows Norton 360. Browsing Program Files does not find Norton Safety Minder either

Maybe the Removal and Reinstall tool is not enough. Let's try the Norton Removal Tool.

 

Download the Norton Removal Tool from here   www.norton.com/nrt
If you use Identity Safe, backup/export your data.
Uninstall your Norton product with Windows control panel.
Reboot.
Run the Norton Removal Tool.
Reboot.
Log into your Norton Account from here   www.account.norton.com
Click on the Download button beside your current product subscription. This will download and install a preactivated copy of your product.
Run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Try to log into your Identity Safe. If it works, you are done. If not, Import your Identity Safe data.
