Open your Norton device security product.
<p>If you see the <strong>My Norton</strong> window, next to <strong>Device Security</strong>, click <strong>Open</strong>.</p> </li> <li> <p>In the Norton product main window, double-click <strong>Backup</strong>, and then click <strong>Backup Sets</strong>.</p> </li> <li> <p>In the <strong>Backup Settings</strong> window, in the <strong>Backup Set</strong> drop-down list, select the backup set that you want to configure.</p> </li> <li> <p>On the <strong>What</strong> tab, click <strong>Add or exclude files or folders</strong>.</p> </li> <li> <p>In the window that appears, do the following:</p> <ul> <li> <p>To add a file to the backup set, click <strong>Include File</strong> and navigate to the file you want to add.</p> </li> <li> <p>To add a folder to the backup set, click <strong>Include Folder</strong> and navigate to the folder you want to add.</p> </li> <li> <p>To remove a file from the backup set, click <strong>Exclude File</strong> and navigate to the file you want to remove.</p> </li> <li> <p>To remove a folder from the backup set, click <strong>Exclude Folder</strong> and navigate to the folder you want to remove.</p> </li> </ul> </li> <li> <p>In the <strong>Backup Settings</strong> window, click <strong>Save Settings</strong>.</p> </li>You can also right-click a file or folder and select Norton 360 > Add to Backup/Exclude from Backup from the shortcut menu.
The Add to Backup and Exclude from Backup options appear in the shortcut menu only after you configure your backup and when the Backup Settings and the Restore Files windows are closed.
