I just finished with a problem of not being able to delete a backup set (See thread:http://community.norton.com/norton/board/message?board.id=Norton_360&thread.id=23018) and now have a problem that backups are not completing on the PC that had the original problem.
Norton Support ended up deleting all my backups to correct the problem, including the good backups. After that the backups ran fine on my wife’s laptop. However, on my PC only a partial backup was made and the following is what I’m seeing:
- 360 reports “Your important files have been backed up.”
- If I then look at the details it says that it was last run on 11/18/2009
- It says Available Space: 11.7 GB, Total Space 12.0 GB and 1.5 GB is required
- If I look at the Backup History, I see five attempts starting on the 17th and ending on the 18th, with each showing a status of canceled.
- No matter what combination of settings I attempt to use, if I try to run a backup, it says: "Failed to Start. Another backup/restore session is running! Files Backed Up: 0.
- If I look in https://nobu.backup.com/ it says 208.24 MB used of 12 GB and is still showing the supposedly deleted backup set that existed before my system crash and which was apparently causing the original problem.
- If I select Restore Files to see what is out there, it only shows 1130 files with a total of 160.7 MB while there should over 12,000
I’m running XP SP/3 and 360 v 3.5.2.11
Thanks Rony. I’ll try what you suggested after we return from our Thanksgiving trip. Leaving firdt thing in the morning and will be back next week.
