Bad Image on norton files

I keep getting a bad image error, but the location is within my norton internet security.

Will unistalling and reinstalling solvethis problem? and if so how is it best to do this?

Thankyou for your help

Running on Windows Vista. Upgraded from 2010 to version when I bought a new disk. Norton internet security 2011 has been installed about 4 months, not had any issues until about two weeks ago, before this everything was fine.

It might be a good idea to check for an infection before uninstalling and reinstalling.  Also, are you running any other security products on the machine with Norton?

Try Superantispyware free version  for a non-invasive cross-check.  If SAS is clean, and nothing else appears to be acting up, you can try an uninstall and reinstall.

1.  Back up your logins to the desktop and sign out of identity safe. Have your key handy.

2.  Uninstall via add/remove programs

3.  Run the Norton Removal tool to clean up any problems, if any, and reboot

4.  Reinstall, and go to support>Check subscription status.  It should synchronize with the subscription server automatically.  If not, you will need the key.

5. run a full system scan.

Use the link below as it will be more up to date than a disc.
