Bad Norton Support

I told the first Norton rep that I couldn't download the new version of Norton Utilities (Premium).  I also told him I wanted to keep the old version.  He un-installed the old version.  I re-installed the old version but could not update it to the most current level.  The second rep could not help me do this.

I managed to get both versions but could not update the old version.

 

Thanks for the detailed info.  But Norton first line support uninstalled an app that did not have to be uninstalled.  The 2 first line support people wasted a lot of my time.

The update from .44 to the .53 version has nothing to do with any functionality of NU16. It was just an update of some certificate for one of the files that caused an error message as reported in this thread.   So you are not missing anything.

OLD NORTON UTILITIES:  I had to install the 16.0.3.44 version (only one available).  Could not get the .53 version that I originally had, that was mistakenly uninstalled by the Norton Rep.

NEW NORTON UTILITIES:   Was installed, no problem.

I wanted both.

There were no error messages.

What is the version of NU16 that you managed to install?

Are there any error messages you see when you try to use it?

 

The last version update to Norton Utilities 16 was from years ago. It has never been functionally updated since before Windows 10 was first released. So there is nothing to update on the older version.
