Believe I've been snookered

Recently received a call from a Web support group claiming to be from Microsoft support service alerting me to having over 2200 attempts of hacking to my computer.  During the call they knew my computer seriel #, my name and phone # including my address.  They were from India by their language and were very hard to understand.  During the conversation I kept asking what company they were from and I got back that they were from Microsoft support.  They had me perform a few steps on my computer ( cmd) and showed me a file the they said was corrupt and needed to be removed.  They had me go to a regular web site that showed me that what they were doing was legit, and that the file was a possible threat to my computer. it was the Scrss.exe file in the windows\system32 dir.  They then asked for access  to my computer to check for other network problems and I reluctantly allowed them to do so.  They then downloaded a program called Super Malware removal to my computer and ran the program to show me the file came up as corrupt.  They then wanted $200 for one year of protection to remove the "virus" and e-mailed me a contract.  The contract did not get to me quickly so I told them that I would read it and had them call me next week.  Meanwhile, I researched the company and found very  little on them other than they have been around for over one year and had no reports to BBS on them.  I researched another free method to remove this file and had done so.  My concern it that they either stole all my personal info and /or that they placed a well hidden tracker to my computer that Norton Power Eraser did not find.  What do you suggest I do?  Other than the obvious of not letting anyone remote into my computer?  They did keep saying that my computer protection was working well, but my problem was on the network side of things.        Their company name is Qteqlive.com
