Anyone can spot a fake email claiming you were charged for a Norton service by looking at the email that sent it. If it doesn’t say it’s from Norton then it is not from Norton and it is a scam. Just today I got one from this email:
[ P.P.Purchase Info#463 <[shofikulislam01302266649@gmail.com] ]
Just forward the email as an attachment to spam@norton.com
Notice the “@norton.com” Ya pretty obvious that is a legit Norton email address. Read more here from Norton.
I just added the obvious email hint so maybe Norton could get up to speed on that.
Norton is aware of these email scams, as are McAfee, Microsoft and others.
Norton does have a support article that lists the legitimate Norton email senders. https://support.norton.com/sp/en/ca/norton-renewal-purchase/current/solutions/v71088498
