BHDrvx86.sys issue

After having NIS 2009 running for a few months, I got a popup telling me that Norton was broken and I needed to reinstall.  I tried but it failed to reinstall.  I've gone through scans now with Norton, Malwarebytes (never showing anything other than a tracking cookie); through some registry fixes with Norton techs; even installing the product in safe mode, but the reinstalls continue to fail.  BTW, I'm running Vista Business SP1, up to date with the current MS updates.

I've noticed this in my event viewer:

Code integrity determined that the image hash of a file is not valid.  The file could be corrupt due to unauthorized modification or the invalid hash could indicate a potential disk device error.

File Name:    \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\drivers\NIS\1005000.087\BHDrvx86.sys

I've run tests on the drive and don't suspect it of being a problem.  So, I'm stumped.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks
