Billing for unwanted services?

I seem to have a yearly issue with excessive billings that are automatically charged.

I updated and renewed Norton 360 w/Lifelock, but then was charged for other services I didn’t even know I had. I wouldn’t have been but since I added a new credit card, was billed. Maybe I am wrong but I contacted chat, they sent this to billing who then had to contact me and then subsequently I was disconnected.

It’s quite frustrating and i don’t believe I did anything wrong. Maybe I’m wrong but it seems to be a regular yearly issue that if I decline auto-renewal, end up renewing stuff I didn’t care for or ask for.

Just seems problematic as maybe the interface isn’t clear … or clear to me.

What is the error message you are seeing?

Norton Community does not have access to your Norton account, subscription nor payment profile.

Thank you BJM for the tips.

My comments were also wondering if this a common issue among the community and if Norton would benefit from making their interface and upcoming billings more clear.

Again, my concern is this happened without consent other than perhaps an email, and for a product I didn’t sign up for, it appears it was “free” for me to use unless I declined using it - I think. It’s more how it seems non-transparent to me … but again, I’ll thank you for the links, will review them in case I’ve overlooked something obvious.

I do not use automatic renewal.
Trials will be charged at the end of the trial period, unless canceled first.

What Norton subscription/s?
What Norton trial/s?

That’s fine BJM, I appreciate the feedback and will try and be more conscious of how Norton works.

I already have “free trials” being asked having just resigned up, and though I clicked the “X” on the option, it opened an new window acting as if I wanted it. In any case, I’m becoming a bit more aware of how Norton works subscriptions with your links and will remove all CC info and religiously nix any subscription requests.
