Bloatware?

@Tony_Weiss

Thought this would stimulate you from Microsoft's Windows Answers Forum, in a long thread about Windows 10 Anniversary Upgrade problems

Uninstall any bloatware anti-virus like Norton, McAfee, AVG or Avast, enable built-in Defender to test performance.  Use the special  Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software - ESET Knowledgebase.

 With friends like that who needs enemies .... ?

Sorry about that -- I took it directly from the heading in the posted article and didn't check it.

This link should work

Thanks

Hi, Hugh. The only problem I've had, is Edge stops working frequently.

I've given up on it. Not that impressed with it anyway.

I'll stick to FF and Chrome.

Well Hugh, he would push Defender wouldn't he ? Trust nothing a Windows MVP says !

I'd back Norton over Defender, any day !

Me too -- I knew Microsoft MVP's were not much value when a longstanding one of them who had known me on CompuServe even longer recommended me to Microsoft to be ornamented as a MVP ...... I filled in all their pages of information and sent it off and never heard back from them after they announced a new bunch of them .....

I think like Groucho .....

Still no shading. I'm giving up on changing drivers since I've gone back step by step to the first Radeon one that supports my monitor resolution with no difference.

My hybrid laptop that has INTEL and not AMD is OK with W10AU (except for the freezing problem when watching videos). I subscribed to Windows Answers Forum on that topic and I'm getting literally 100's of email advisories of new unhappy posts on that topic.

Anyone here getting it on Windows 10 AU after the upgrade?
