When I try to respond to e-mail from someone who uses Earthlink, I get a challenge message from the program’s spam blocker. The trouble is that I can’t see the letters – or hear the audio file, if I choose that option instead – that I’m supposed to reproduce to prove I’m legit. I’ve tried this using Firefox (with cookies and scripts enabled) and with IE, and it still doesn’t work. This happened last year when I was using Kaspersky, and it turned out that the program’s banner blocker was the trouble; once that feature was deselected I could see and respond to the Earthlink challenge. I assume there must be a comparable feature of NIS 2010 that needs to be disabled. Anyone know what it is and how to get at it?
