I'm using Norton Security that comes with BT internet, I have a blocked model railway web site that I have been using for years and I know is safe, for some reason Norton has blocked it, I can only find how to unblock "programs" in the settings, there's nothing related to unblocking a web site, can anyone help please?
But why...it's a safe site, I've been using it for years along with other forum members?
The site itself is safe. As you can see in the images, it is https: //advertising-cdn. com that is being flagged by Norton. As I suggested above, an ad on that web site is trying to redirect your browser, but is being intercepted by Norton because the site it is trying to take you to is dangerous.
To help combat these redirects you can install an ad blocker extension in your browser.
peterweb:
What you are seeing are malformed ads on the site you are trying to view. You should contact the website owner and let them know. They are probably just using an ad service, so they have no control over what ads are displayed.
I've done that, no one else has this problem, I don't have this problem when using an iPhone or iPad, it's just related to Norton on my pc?
Sorry, at this time. Regarding yourmodelrailway.net
I'm not seeing Norton Safe Web -> Malicious Site Blocked! on my pc.
I'm seeing Norton 360 ->IPS Alert [related pic here & here]
What browser on your pc? Firefox?
Did you recently install any program/s &or browser extension/s.
Do you run browser Sync?
Malicious Site Blocked! = Norton Safe Web Intrusion Protection System (IPS) block
IPS plays a critical role in filling holes created by bugs in operating systems, browsers and applications. IPS detects and helps stop exploitations of security vulnerabilities.
IPS has been a part of Norton Device Security solutions for some time, but now that it is also a part of the Norton Safe Web browser extension, the content of suspicious web pages, advertisements and popups are now cross-examined in an additional way, giving you even more protection when you browse the Web.
It might be safe on another pc but with mine it's blocked?
I'm sorry but I'm getting replies with this thread but no explanations?

@phil.c
Is yourmodelrailway.net the website mentioned in your opening post [here]?
When I land on yourmodelrailway.net from my location.
My Malwarebytes Browser Guard and uBlock Origin block advertising-cdn.com content.
My Norton 360 prompts an IPS Alert by advertising-cdn.com.
Please post screenshot with your reported "block".
