The alert gives me no action to take though. It automatically submitted the file. Should I submit the file myself?

is this another case of a false positive and my Norton being extremely cautios? (Which I don't mind)

If the file was Submitted automatically then you do not have to Submit it yourself - un-less you really want to make sure it is Sent.

Viruses and other Internet Threats can Infect your Norton Product, so this is just standard; if Norton suspects something, then it will Submit.  Better safe than sorry.

does it look like I should submit this? If so, then how? Or if it went through Community Watch, just leave it alone?

I would always recommend that you submit any file that you suspect is malware. Malware Submission Website

Found this in my Norton Community watch history as a suspected maleware file

   redist32.exe

It is located in program files\commonfiles\symantecshared\symantecsetup\{****************************}_15_0_0_58\

support\vcredist\redist32.exe

This is a Norton file. What gives? Why is it a suspected maleware when it came from Norton? Not accusing, just want to understand

Norton may suspect that an Internet Threat has Infected your Norton Product and, thus, it is Reporting the File(s).
