Brower hijacked - bestsearchforever.biz

Need help

Log file attached.

Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

can you run AdwCleaner again with:

Boot mode : Normal

then post new logfile here.

Norman mode log file attached. Thanks, Mike

Are the data in the folders

Folder Found : C:\ProgramData\boost_interprocess
Folder Found : C:\ProgramData\FreeRIP

from programs that you know and trust?

If yes, make a backup of them (on another place) before we start to delete Adware with AdwCleaner.

Click on AdwCleaner button "Delete".
Then auto restart of your pc happens.

After restart  create a new logfile and post it here.

Is your browser still hijacked?

edit:

double post, sorry.

Success and many thanks. This also cleared up an internet connectivity issue I was haviing in normal boot mode.

Mike

great news Mike, thanks.

Looking at the other thread you may have more to do on the system in terms of this thread and cleaning as NIS 2012 and 2013 are not happy.

Even though the visual redirect problem has been fixed.

Seeing as there is a problem getting Norton installed (2012 & 2013 (so old and new)) after this redirect was removed,  Here is another bestsearchforever.biz  thread, but I am leaving the redirect as that is the least of the systems worries for now.

Who knows if you could get Norton to install and / or run properly over the top of that. Especially if the tripwire is back.

hello mp3jo, my browser has this same problem. would you please help me fix it? thus far I've downloaded the adwarecleaner that you suggested and i've attached the log that it brought up when i used the search function of the adware program.

Please go to one of the malware forums like http://www.bleepingcomputer.com to get help.

A google searched did not return a lot of results.

Browser has been hijacked to a site, bestsearchforever.biz.

Ran Norton Power Eraser, Bootable Recovery Tool and Malwarebytes to no effect.

Any ideas. Thanks
