I got a BSOD, STOP: 0x0000007E, iusb3xhc.sys after Norton Driver Updater ran on my Win 7 system, afterward system would only start in SAFE mode. (Curious that neither Norton 360 and Driver Updater will run in SAFE mode...) Eventually I was able to start Windows Device Manager and roll back the driver for iusb3xhc.sys, and now the system will start in Normal mode, but none of the usb3 ports work. Further investigation using Device Manager revealed an issue with the System Devices, Intel(R) Management Engine Interface, "This device cannot start. (Code10)" I tried to roll back this driver as well but got "Unable to resolve detected issue". Any suggestions regarding how to fix this?
Hello JL FASIG. Download the Intel drivers needed from your OEM site and install them then reboot. If that doesn't fix the issue. Use system restore and restore the computer to a date/time prior to this happening. Then remove Driver Updater from the system and stop using it. There are many threads across the forums regarding DU not being a mature product and warnings against using it for that reason.
