Running Windows XP SP3 with AV 2009 with no problems for several months. Started last week and is progressly getting worse, to the extent my PC is no longer useable (doesn't stay up long enough after logging in).

I have recently managed to run 'liveupdate' before the PC crashed, but it appears to make no difference. Any ideas?
