It seems an old bug has been introduced in the recent version of Norton 360.
I'm running Windows 8.1, Norton 360 21.1.0.18 and the latest TrueCrypt. There are a couple of old NIS posts which describe exactly the problem and that is that when a mounted TrueCrupt volume, which isn't mounted as removable media, gets dismounted, Windows runs into a BSOD. On Windows 8.1 that results in a REFERENCE_BY_POINTER BSOD.
I've done several experiments and it works when i mount it as removable media and it works all fine when i uninstall Norton. I've been using it for several years and all privious versions of Norton 360 had no issues. My problem with the workaround is that my Online Backup program cannot backup a removable media, so i need to mount my data as normal device.
I hope, since it is an old and well reproducible problem, that a fix can be found quickly, because i just renewed my subscription.
