likewise - undefined message unable to clear, plus “something went wrong” when I attempt to send feedback.
Does anything work properly in Norton these days? I’m beginning to doubt it’s capable of doing anything. Not a comforting thought where viruses may be involved.
Bonjour,
A titre purement indicatif, je viens d’envoyer un commentaire depuis l’interface de Norton sur ce problème et cela a fonctionné pour moi.
Yes, it reappeared this morning, so a reboot and release update didn’t fix anything.
It would be nice if Norton actually acknowledged the problem here with information on whether it was being addressed or not. This may be a community forum, but it would be somewhat remiss of them not to monitor it as this is where issues usually rear their ugly heads. I don’t think I’m asking too much, but instead we’re all sitting here with the same issue and only crickets for a response from Norton.
Same issue here.
Same issue… no way to clear.
Same same here: Also agree with especially messy GUI/Mgt Box/options for current iteration and relentless upselling
And today they have gone !!
Bonjour,
En ce qui me concerne le problème persiste (la preuve en image) pour les analyses programmées
Same issue here, although mine shows 2 Inbox messages, one is “undefined” and the other is the persistent Your Protection Report, which doesn’t clear after being looked at.
I just noticed that my system ran two Smart Scans and the Inbox doesn’t show “undefined” for those. However, I still get the blue Notification bubble in the tray even though these are informational messages which I have turned off.
Hello everyone that has posted about this problem and thank you for doing so. I wanted to let you know that I just did a Quick Scan with my Norton. Once I started the scan I closed my Norton as I knew it would still scan after closing it. Sure enough I got the blue dot on my system tray icon saying that I had a new message. I opened my Norton and went to the Inbox in the upper right corner as always as it said there was 1 message and when I opened the inbox I did not see the “Undefined” message but instead I saw the message “Quick Scan” with “scan complete” and “Details”. I opened the message and saw my results and the message went away and the Blue Dot on my system tray icon also went away. I also did the same thing using Smart Scan and got the same results I just mentioned. Now I do not know if this has been fixed or in the process of being fixed or if the “Undefined” problem will come back but I wanted to let everyone know what I saw and see if you wanted to try it yourself to see. If it appears that Norton has corrected this problem and does not come back over the next few days and if “everyone” is seeing a resolution then I will marked this solved.
Respectfully,
Don
Don, just did what you did…and yup, its there.

Thank you for your reply JJ. I just now ran a Smart Scan and then a Quick Scan after I saw your reply and this is what I am now seeing in my Inbox below which is what I replied about above. I did not see the "Undefined"problem we have been experiencing. I had been doing weekly maintenance on my computer and have restarted it before trying it and I also do not sign in to Norton through my app. They may still be working on it and rolling out a fix in increments. All I can say is try restarting or shutting down your computer then boot back up. Just check it at times. FYI my Norton 360 Deluxe is Version 24.11.9615 (build 24.11.9615.891).
Respectfully,
Don
Blue Dot went away after checking and reading message.

Bonjour,
Don
