Hi all my first post/question.
I have a 32 bit Desktop running Windows Home Premium version7. I also have a Western Digital external drive attached and Norton Ghost 15 loaded on the desk top. I recently purchased a note book which is a 64 bit machine. The note book is also running Windows Home Premium version 7. I like Version 7 and want to keep using it. I would like to transfer the mirror image of C: from the desktop which resides on the WD external to the new note book so that my note book is the same as my desk top.
Questions:
1. Will doing this, if it is possible, ruin the system on the note book if I copy the mirror image including the OS, program files and all files from the external to the notebook?
2. If it is not advisable to load the mirror image including the OS to the notebook can I just select the programs and files to make my notebook a mirror of the desktop?
3. If I can do any of the above do I first need to load Norton Ghost onto the notebook?
4. Finally, if there is anyone who would be kind enough to tell me how to do this step by step, if it can be done, I would appreciate it very much.
Thanks for reading,
